Convert Any Bike With A Threaded BB To A Single Speeder

The Rapidé EccenTrick BB is a eccentric BB which allows any bike with a standard threaded BB (BSA/English threaded) to be converted into a single speeder without the use of a tensioner.

It also allows a geared bike to have an adjustable geometry by varying the bikes BB height, chainstay length, effective top tube length etc.

The Rapidé EccenTrick BB can also be used on an Adventure/Gravel bike as an standard BB but in an emergency it will allow a quick single speed solution should the rear derailleur be damaged so you can reach your destination.

The EccenTrick can even be used on a fixie/track frame, allowing the rear wheel to be slid forward in the dropouts to avoid movement with tension taken care of easily at the BB.

The Rapidé Eccentrick BB replaces the bikes standard BB and is compatible with Shimano® 24mm and SRAM® GXP® 24/22mm spindle cranks.

Not compatible with triple chainring cranks and spider based power meters.

The Rapidé Eccentrick BB has replaceable 6805 2RS sealed cartridge bearings for easy maintenance.

    Great product

  2. Danie (verified owner)

Easy to install and works a charm. Perfect way to avoid a chain tensioner on your Single Speed.

  3. Garth (verified owner)

Brilliant option for my geared hardtail conversion to ss, the rear der hanger broke so i couldn’t use a chain tensioner

  4. Glen (verified owner)

Extremely easy to fit and spins like a dream.

In the past I’ve used a spring tensioner and a chainring guard tensioner on my vertical dropout frame. But all of them presented a myriad of compromises. Having now spent some real money on a real solution I can confidently say this is the right way to do single speed on a vertical drop out frame. I was forced to grind down the tabs for the smallest chainring on my crankset. If you have a converted Shimano triple like I have you may be in the same boat. Granted not many people still use triple’s so I’m probably in the minority. Took it for a spin and frankly it’s exactly what I’ve been searching for this whole time. Spins smooth and quiet and my drivetrain has never felt better.

In conclusion. This is the way.
