Rapidé Asymmetric OVL™ 96 XTR/XT/SLX Ring

Shimano® 96BCD XTR M9000, XT M8000, SLX M7000 and Deore M6000 11 Speed Compatible

The Rapidé Asymmetric OVL™ 96 Ring is designed to work with the Shimano® 11 speed XTR (FC-M9000), Deore XT (FC-M8000), SLX (FC-M7000) and Deore (FC-M6000) cranks with the asymmetric 96mm BCD bolt pattern.

The Rapidé Asymmetric OVL™ 96 Ring gives you better traction, especially with climbing, riding in sand or loose rock, by smoothing out the torque you deliver to the rear tire.

Where your pedal stroke is weakest you have the equivalent of 2 teeth less on the chainring, and where you have the most power you have 2 more teeth. The radius of the chainring is constantly changing. The torque needed to turn the cranks is constantly changing to better match your power output. The Rapidé OVL™ 96 Ring maximizes the part of the pedal stroke where power is produced, and minimizes resistance where it isn’t, allowing you to get on top of a gear.

The Rapidé Asymmetric OVL™ 96 Ring features our enhanced narrow-wide tooth profile for incredibly secure chain retention when used with 1 x 9/10/11/12 or single speed drivetrains.

Made with super strong and very light weight 7075-T6 alloy and 3D CNC machined to create a very rigid yet lightweight hollow structure that is up to 50 grams lighter than the factory equivalent while still retaining the correct chainline and stiffness.

The Rapidé Asymmetric OVL™ 96 Ring is the perfect chainring for Shimano® XTR, XT, SLX and Deore 11 speed cranks.

Also compatible with 12 speed drivetrains.

* Mountain biking rattles bolts loose – use a quality thread lock compound such as Loctite 242 to prevent this. Pay particular attention to things like chain ring bolts – a lost chainring bolt can lead to chainring failure.

* We recommend torquing chainring bolts to 6-8nm and periodic inspection.
