Handlebars and seat posts can be prone to creaking and slipping – over tightening only makes this worse. Using an assembly compound on the clamp surface will eliminate creaks and slipping – tiny particles in the compound help create grip.

Use FSA installation paste whenever aluminium or carbon components have to be assembled. The paste has a strong lagging effect without any tendency to gum up or stick. The tightening torque can be reduced by up to 30%. This reduces the danger of crushing components by exceeding recommended torque settings.
