Rapidé TR29-30 SL Wheels are designed to be light enough to race yet strong enough for everyday use.
The light weight Rapidé TR29-30 SL rims are made from super strong AL6066-T6 heat treated aluminium with a welded join for extra strength, balance and air retention.
The rims are tubeless ready for easy tubeless set up. The 30mm internal – 34.5mm external widths help create a great tyre profile and increase tyre volume. The TR29-30 SL rim also has bead hooks designed to prevent the tyre burping at lower pressures.
The Rapidé Ultralight PRO Disc hubs come complete with your choice of quick release and thru-axle adapters – including Torque Caps to make them compatible with just about any bike and you can also add other end cap options from our hub spares as needed.
The light weight cassette body has four pawls for strength and a quick 10° engagement. Available in standard Shimano and SRAM XD patterns.
Build options include brass nipples in black or silver, alloy nipples in a full range of colours and double butted spokes in round or bladed profiles. We use a full 32 spokes per wheel to ensure great power transfer, responsive handling and reliability.
Rapidé TR29-30 SL wheels also come with tubeless rim tape and tubeless valves already installed.
Wheels are custom build to your requirements and take 2-3 days to build on average.

This wheelset is robust without weighing a ton. The 30mm rims will add more traction to your tires than mortals can handle. Take them over rough stuff, and they will not flinch! Landing these wheels after some air, is confidence inspiring.
Best bang for buck wheels on the market. Don’t event think twice about pulling the trigger, DO IT!

I bought these end of November 2018
They are super light and feel very solid.
They look and SOUND (freehub) amazing – not super loud but just so soothingly swish when flowing down the trials. The sound of speed.
Very lekker.
I can’t yet comment on durability – I believe there will not be any issues though.
They give a much nicer tyre profile than the stock Bontrager rims that came with my Trek Fuel EX5 2018 which were rubbish imo.
I run a Specialized Butcher Grid 2.3 upfront and a Maxxis High Roller 2.3 rear – works great so far.
Will be switching the Butcher to the rear and run a new Butcher 2.6 front – can’t wait.
Only criticisms (if any) thus far:
Box that wheelset was delivered in was torn and damaged – no fault to Rapide though – product looked fine.
The Rapide logo stickers look a little cheap and already tore a bit etc..will probably take them off in the near future. I would suggest rather leaving the stickers or have a tiny Rapide logo sprayed/painted on if not too costly – I understand and appreciate its a cost factor, but rather leave it completely then.
Opted for the red nipples which look epic with the paint job of my bike.
All-in-all great service, great product at a great price – classic Rapide.
Slowly but shirley replacing all that I can with Rapide on my bike as they need replacing/upgrading.

Bought a pair of these 2 months ago. My first set of wider rims and I love it! The best is going downhill with them and especially around corners. I’ve done some rocky sections with them and they’re still true as the day I got them. Wayne gave me excellent info and advice when I phoned him before purchasing. For the price, these wheels are definitely a great buy. They’re not the lightest on the market, but they still climb up mountains easy enough for me. I’ve been buying Rapide components since 2016 and still a satisfied customer. Great company!

I have 2 pairs of these wheels, one set on my enduro bike and one set on my single speed. I weigh close on 100kg fully kitted and these wheels have been stiff and robust enough to handle everything I have thrown at them so far. Zero complaints! Totally underrated wheel set.

Fitted some Ground Control 2.35 into this wheelset so easily! The rims obviously do a great job of seating wheels.
Front wheel fully built including hub, spokes, tubeless tape, and 180mm rotor weighs in at 1022g.
Rear wheel fully built with a 160mm rotor (excl cassette) weighs in at 1145g.
